Hard Landscaping Ideas

It doesn’t matter if your garden is either paved or decked, there is always room to let nature grow and flourish. That is why we have come up with several tips and pointers for you, and your hard landscaped garden.

  • When laying down a gravel path, ensure that you use a semi-permeable under sheet, allowing insect and plant life to breath. Alternatively, simply stamp down hard on the ground, avoiding the need for a sheet in the first place.
  • Small animals, like toads and frogs love dark damp areas, so it’s natural for them to take up residency under your decking. Why not consider leaving a small gap for them to enter and exit through? Such animals also love rocks and wood, consider leaving both under the decking for them use.
  • Paving stones harbour vast amounts of insect life and an open space for snails to be eaten up by small birds. In the summer months, you might also be lucky to spot reptilian life sunbathing here as well. Why not also use these stones to position a variety of plant pots and ornaments.
